KDDI and LAC Begin Joint Provision of Security Assessment and On-Site Response Services for Customers' Overseas Locations

―Strengthening IT Governance and Visualizing Security Vulnerabilities to Support Safe Global Business―

LAC Co., Ltd.
KDDI Corporation

LAC and KDDI will begin accepting applications on March 4, 2026, for their "Global Security Status Assessment" and "Global Incident Response" services designed to strengthen IT governance and security for companies operating overseas.

The "Global Security Status Assessment" comprehensively evaluates the security level of overseas locations [Jump to the applicable section1], from security strategy and organizational structure through operations and monitoring, while also providing reports on recommended improvements. With "Global Incident Response," when a security incident occurs at a customer's overseas location, engineers from KDDI's overseas local subsidiaries will travel to the site to provide rapid support such as initial response measures and data preservation. Leveraging KDDI's network spanning 59 locations worldwide, KDDI and LAC have established a structure that enables on-site support across a wide range of regions.
These services enable end-to-end security measures for customers' IT environments at their overseas locations, covering everything from identifying issues during daily operations to incident response when emergencies strike.

■Background

As companies expand overseas and increase their use of cloud services, and as AI technologies become more advanced, the threat of international cyberattacks is growing. Attackers increasingly are targeting weakly-defended overseas locations and business partners rather than well-defended headquarters. Because of this, mid-sized and small-to-medium enterprises that comprise supply chains face the need to strengthen their security measures to improve their corporate groups' overall security.
In July 2025, LAC and KDDI began full-scale global rollout of security solutions. By combining LAC's security expertise with KDDI's global presence, the two companies are able to effectively support customers' global operations [Jump to the applicable section2].
